Deadlifts will change your life
*405lbs on the bar*
There is no greater exercise then the original feat of strength, picking heavy Shit off of the floor!
The key to doing a successful Deadlift is the preparation before the lift. Notice how close everything is, like a coil getting compressed to spring. I know it looks like my legs are spread wide, but they are actually right underneath my collar bones. The elbows and forearms are touching my shins.
Once in position, test your breath. I do a few quick preps to feel my diaphragm interact with my lungs and abs. Then it's a quick, deep, full breath as I bring my hips down into position and push with the heels while pulling with the hams and glutes.
If you're having trouble with the Deadlift, give these cues a try and see if you've improved!
