The Leg Press is NOT safer than squats!!!

People avoid squats like the plague. They say it's "unsafe" - they're "worried about hurting their lower back" - they say it's "better for the knees."

All of these assumptions are false! The fact is that the leg Press has a smaller barrier to entry. It doesn't take a lot of study or focus to execute a basic leg Press. But it does take some work to learn how to squat properly.

The leg Press can be dangerous. The leg Press can put a lot of stress on your lower back, make sure it stays against the pad and does lift off the seat when bringing the weight towards you. When pressing don't let your knees buckle inward. And DONT try to lift more than your joints can handle. Keep within the 12-15 rep range and feel the burn in your quads, not your ACL!
