Are you doing Lat Pulldowns correctly?
Everybody's Favorite in the GYM - The Lat Pulldown
Everybody thinks they know how to do a Lat Pulldown...but do they? Minor tweaks to your form and mental focus can yield much more positive R.O.I.
Notice how my body travels forward a bit at the beginning of the rep and I lean back SLIGHTLY when I pull the bar to my chest. That's extended range of motion without turning them into cheat reps.
Notice my grip on the bar! No Thumbs! 👍🏻 I don't squeeze the bar, I let my hands act like hooks and focus on pulling with my elbows, not my hands.
Lastly, think about bringing those elbows back behind you, and squeeze your scapula together. If your hands and biceps ache more than your back in this exercise, rethink how you're executing the movement.
